In Celebration of International Women’s Day 2026

The ‘Changes- In celebration of International Women’s Day’ exhibition opened at the Queen’s Park Gallery, Barbados, on Saturday, March 7th 2026. Featuring the artwork of thirty-one artists, the exhibition explores the cycle of a woman as it pertains to the body and the changes that it endures as they move through life.
As the viewer navigates the gallery space, they are taken on the journey of a woman, highlighting both the struggles and celebrations that come with the experience; from conception to childhood, adolescence and old age. The exhibition explores ideas of the body, female friendships and the very real difficulties surrounding reproductive health, to highlight only a few.
Undertaken in a variety of media (painting, sculpture, digital, photography, etc.), the exhibition presents a diverse view of what it means to be a woman from the perspectives of both male and female artists.
The exhibition continues until Saturday, April 18th, with a Meet the Artists experience occurring on Saturday, March 28th, 2026.
